Define the candidate paths

A native-size path uses a verified source already measured at the required delivery raster. An upscale path transforms a smaller approved source and must disclose that processing. A hybrid path combines regeneration, selective enhancement, overlays, titles, or conventional elements in a 4K timeline. A 1080p path changes the deliverable when true 4K adds cost without audience benefit. These are production options, not assertions that Seedance 2.5 offers a native 4K setting, a particular upscaler, or any account entitlement.

Compare what survives enlargement

Use the same representative shots to inspect faces, hands, hair, foliage, fabric, text, fine geometry, gradients, noise, motion blur, flicker, and compression. Measure the actual source and master, then review at intended size and viewing distance. An upscaled file can have a 4K raster without containing native 4K detail; a native-size file can still fail because motion or textures are unstable. Score editability, render time, storage, transfer, review effort, and downstream codec behavior alongside visual quality.

Choose and disclose the path

Write the selected route, source measurements, transforms, acceptance results, cost evidence, and fallback. Preserve originals and label derived masters so future editors can tell what was generated, upscaled, composited, or rendered conventionally. Confirm the destination specification, not just a generic “4K” phrase, and test the actual encoded deliverable. If the audience or platform does not benefit from the extra raster, document why a smaller master is preferable. This decision does not establish model capability, quality, availability, or repeatability beyond the files reviewed.
