How to work through it

01

Compare three identity architectures

Define a licensed-human route using an identifiable creator and explicit likeness, voice, territory, term, edit, and synthetic-use permissions; a fictional-character route with documented design provenance and no unauthorized resemblance; and a hybrid route that combines approved performance, synthetic transformation, compositing, or a digital double. For each option, name who can consent, who owns the character, who approves scripts and appearance changes, and what happens when permission expires. Keep these identity decisions separate from model selection. A product phrase circulating on X does not establish that any named system supports identity controls, disclosure, voice, editing, collaboration, or a particular production architecture.

02

Score the same production job

Use one campaign brief and score every option on source rights, identity risk, truthful disclosure, creative range, performance authenticity, revision speed, continuity burden, localization, moderation, handoff complexity, cost evidence, and exit strategy. Require dated evidence for each score and mark unknowns rather than converting assumptions into rankings. Test a small representative asset through legal, brand, safety, technical, and audience-confusion review. Include failure recovery: withdrawal of consent, accidental resemblance, factual correction, character redesign, platform-policy change, or loss of a required tool. Verify current product capabilities and authorized account access separately; the decision record must remain useful if the team changes vendors.

03

Choose with explicit guardrails

Document the selected architecture, rejected options, decisive criteria, unresolved risks, approval owners, disclosure approach, monitoring plan, and refresh trigger. Attach the identity authority, source lineage, character or creator packet, prompt and edit history, final-asset review, and publication record. Define when a human must review script claims, resemblance, voice, product depiction, sponsorship language, and audience-facing labels. Set pause and takedown authority before release. The best option is conditional on the campaign and jurisdiction, not a universal winner, and no social post or editorial comparison proves availability, quality, compliance, engagement, conversion, or commercial results for Seedance 2.5 or any other tool.
