Operating sequence
Draft character-anchor prompts that separate permanent identity, scene state, permitted change, camera intent, and continuity exclusions.
- 01
Separate identity from styling
Start with the permanent anchors approved in the character passport: facial geometry, age range, hair structure, body proportions, and distinctive marks. Follow with wardrobe and accessories as a separate scene-state block. This lets the production change a coat or hairstyle without rewriting the identity definition. Cite the approved reference asset IDs outside the prose and avoid identifying a real person unless rights and consent are documented. Do not write “same character, perfectly consistent” as a substitute for observable features; it gives reviewers no basis for deciding what drifted.
- 02
Describe the current shot state
Name the location, story time, emotional beat, pose, action, prop ownership, screen direction, camera distance, angle, lens feel, lighting, and continuity predecessor. State which details continue from the prior shot and which change because of the narrative. Keep environment styling from overwhelming identity cues. For sequences, reuse a stable anchor block and version only the scene-state section, preserving a change log. The actual syntax, reference mechanism, and supported controls must follow the current authorized interface rather than assumptions embedded in the query.
- 03
Add drift exclusions and review cues
List the highest-risk failures for this shot: altered face shape, shifting hairline, changing eye color, duplicated accessories, wrong garment construction, prop switching, anatomy distortion, or markings that move. Phrase exclusions as review targets, not guarantees. Ask for a terminal pose that connects to the next shot and identify the frames where the reviewer should compare against the passport. Save prompt, reference, and output versions together. A successful result under one setup is project evidence only and does not establish general model consistency, repeatability, access, or quality.
